Just want to banish that 100 piccie challenge.
I'm still doing it, I just need to get it out of sight, so the list I copied into my sketchbook can glower at me and say 'You must FINISH me! Or else I kill you. Slowly. With fish. And spoon. Rusted spoon. After I drag it for ten miles behind a snowplow/street salter. Mwaha.'
To further inspire myself - (if the threat of tetanus delivered via salted and asphalted eating utensil isn't enough <.< ) I offer this here:
"The first ten people to comment on this journal will be PLUGGED and ADVERTIZED in it. I'll provide your avatar/name, three links to my personal favourites of your artwork, and a small description of what makes your artwork so ~*~grand~*~.
However, as in all of these journal thingies, there is a catch - you must do this as well. :]
Ready?!
GO! *pumps fist forward*"
is the evil genius behind this one <3
Come to think of it... I'll be surprised like holy crap if ten people respond to this thing XD
Well, without further ado:
1)
- Being armed with but a simple pencil and an assortment of pens, the world of colour was taken from my artwork;aAt least until Xellos began offering to colour other folks' work! His gallery doesn't just contain the works he's coloured, but some of his own personal writings and some of his art class projects, both of which are worth checking out!
~~
The Theif's Letter - The speaker's tone in this peice is absolutely captivating. It was all too easy to imagine this little scene playing through my head - duffel bag purse, cat food and all.
~~
Nazi Tai button - A collab between
and
this picture rules because Tai's sporting an SS uniform (which looked really-REALLY bombing despite being worn by well Nazis). I also like the colour scheme, and most importantly, the picture makes me smile when I see it (something about Twi'leks in SS uniforms enforcing a lockdown brightens my heart.).
~~
Shinmyou - This is a dinosaur with a gun. That's not EVEN the best part of this. This work is a sculpture, that means that this badass thing is sitting in someon's house looking Samuel L. Jackson cool!
~Honorable mention:
Samari and Amee - My favorite of all the coloured work Xellos' done for me <3
2)
- My GIRL!
I could go on for ages about why she's awesomer than most. Though, for the purposes of this tag/journal I have to heap praise upon her artistries. As she herself says in her comment, she's not an artist in the sense that she attacks innocent paper (real or digital) with a variety of tools that leave an attractive stain on it, she's a poetess*! In fact, she writes some of the only poems that I 'feel'.
~~
Lament for a Darkfriend - Like I so eloquently put in the comment on this poem: me like! Me like! It took me a while to figure out why though. This poem reminds me of one of my favorite songs
ever: Chrome by VnV Nation. It works for both the speaker in the song and the person he's talking about.
~~
Come Undone - I like this one for the same reason I like all of Luna's poetry, they're like raw unbridled feeling somehow tamed into words and set on paper/computer screen. This one gets brownie points 'cause it's sexy <3
~~
Thoughtful Pup - Instead of bubbling on about how I 'feel' Luna's poetry I shall post her single photo. An extremely cute puppy, just chilling on a bed thinking about some canine-something. Also, I like this picture because those boots you see on the bottom left look almost exactly (I say almost 'cause I can't see them completely you see) like a pair of boots I have. Here we haven't seen or talked to each other in the longest time and we have about the same boots. Great minds think alike eh? Oh wait... sheep do that too <.< ah well, at least we're stylin' sheep.
Luna recently changed DA accounts - you can find her poetry, but not the photo, on
3)
- If there's one thing that can be said about Nox, it's that he's prolific. Poems, photos, photomanips, he's got them all. My challenge is picking out three somethings from there to put in here!
~~ Coming coming, be patient!!

(* Yes, I said poetess. Yes, I know that nowadays a woman that writes poetry is referred to as a poet. I like the suffix -ess though, since this is my journal I shall use the suffix -ess. All efforts to make me drop the suffix -ess will be futile. Thank you and have a good day
